Just as a reminder.... You must be able to prove that you are the person signing the document that you wish to have notarized with a valid i.d. with a picture of yourself on it. An example of this would be a drivers licenses, passport, or a another form of State or Federally issued i.d., again, that shows your picture. If the notarization is for loan documents and other financial documents, then it must be either a State or Federally issued i.d. with your picture shown.
I would also like to point out that there are other notaries at this location, although not a Title Producer, who can do your notarizations that do not involve financial transactions.or the issuing of Title Insurance (such s most Equity Loans or Lines of Credit secured by your home.) If your loan company or credit union has sent you your loan documents and have asked you to find a notary, please remember that you MUST, by Maryland Law, use a Licensed, Bonded, Title Producer to notarize your documents. This is true even if the loan is for an out-of-state property, as Maryland law must be followed in all notarizations. So, even if you do not choose to use my service, make sure that the notary you use is a LTP for your own protection. If you have further questions on this, please contact the Secretary of State for Maryland who will explain the laws concerning this. Some loan companies and title companies are trying to save you money by having you simply get a few documents notarized, not always realizing that Maryland has on record one of the toughest laws concerning notarizing financial documents, and even if the documents are for within the State, the slightest mistake can cause your deed to be rejected, so make sure you choose your notary wisely. This is why, even if your loan is an equity loan, it is better to ask for a LTP.
I'm looking forward to serving all your notary needs. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, and of course your feedback on my webpage would be nice so we know how I can improve it to better serve you, my clients, both the Title Companies and those needing a Notary.
